It is hard to come up with cheery things in these straightened times especially when I have braced you for rather fewer stories on the various shenanigans of Hen. So, being a soul of very limited self-discipline, I have to break that rule almost immediately. She is frankly a very useful reminder that there is life outside of watching the ongoing stock market and economic meltdown. I apologise if you have seen this before because I mentioned it in my daily utterances earlier in the week. Hen has just retuned from a week or so in Hong Kong - I kept that very quiet didn't I?! We were having a recap of her time there and after she had rattled off a disconcertingly large number of names of various bars she had visited in Wanchai - disconcerting in the sense that I had been to most of them - I asked what her favourite building was. "The Pyramids" was her response. UH??
A particularily scintillating weekend is shaping up thus.....
Saturday....
7.00am Sophie, Hen, Jimmy, Bob, Lottie head off to Burghley
7.15am David to "attend" to our cockerel, Muhammed Ali, who we have determined is sterile and has outlived his usefulness.
9.00am David goes to Royal Worlington Golf Course with Furty - ridiculous miniature daschund - for a very competitive and humiliating series of foursomes
Sunday....
David, Sophie, Bob and Twiggy the lurcher drive 150 miles to somewhere south of Oxford so that Bob can parade Twiggy round a ring in a dog show
Monday....
Go back to work....hurrah
